When you are looking for a dish that is easy to make, is family friendly and is cheap and filling, to boot, this is the one for you.
A pre-cooked deli ham, a can of pineapple tidbits and a tiny bit of brown sugar give a sweet and salty finish that make you salivate in antici….pation!
Remember the old-school dinner parties where the hors d’oeuvres would be something like a bite of ham with pineapple on a toothpick? Okay, me neither as it was before my time, BUT I have seen enough old movies to know that this was thought of as the height of sophistication at some point in the not too distant past.
So wanting to do something simple and tasty that would appeal to the adult palate, as well as my kiddo’s finicky nature, I came up with this seriously simple main.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. This massive plate of ham was all gone within 24 hours of making it. And when you think that there are only two adults and one toddler, you can understand how impressive that really is!
