Creative snacking is the only thing that gets me through the day. With my kids being pretty picky eaters and a house full of constantly hungry men, I’ve learned that you can make everyday favorites more fun when you serve them as bite sized snacks! For instance, my husband LOVES anything with BBQ sauce. He’s especially fond of shredded chicken, beef and pork with tons of delicious BBQ sauce. But who has time to make a big batch on demand?!
I am kind of in love with LLOYD’S® Barbeque Tubs. They make it SO easy to make any night BBQ night. LLOYD’S barbeque also offers seasoned & smoked ribs in a variety of flavors and styles. Really, they are my go-to for anything BBQ related.
Which brings me back to my point. It can get boring eating the same things over and over. Except for my husband. He can eat the same thing every day and be fine. So when I had some leftover LLOYD’S Barbeque Shredded Beef from a recent family dinner, I knew I could create something a little different that would be just perfect as a snack or lunchtime nibble.
These are so simple, you will be amazed. But they’re a real crowd pleaser. You can take them to parties, game nights or just enjoy them as a late night snack.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 tub LLOYD’S® Barbeque Shredded Beef
1/2 C shredded cheese
1 roll of thin crust pizza dough
To begin, roll out your pizza dough. You don’t have to make it super thin. Just unroll it so it’s full. You may want to set some wax paper down before you use the dough, otherwise it may stick. The wax paper can also help you later when you need to roll it up.
Spoon and spread your LLOYD’S® Barbeque Shredded Beef across the dough. No need to warm up the meat first. Just use it straight out of the fridge.
Finally, sprinkle over the top with your cheese.
Then, very carefully roll the dough up and over. Keep rolling until the whole thing is a large log.
Now, use a sharp knife and carefully cut the long roll into 1-inch thick slices. These will become your pinwheels.
Spray a baking tray with nonstick spray and then place your pinwheels onto it.
Place into a 425 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Remove and let cool for a few minutes.
