Homemade White Hot Chocolate

When the weather gets colder, there’s nothing better in our family than to wrap up in a warm blanket, snuggling together and watching one of our favorite holiday movies with a nice warm mug of homemade hot chocolate.

And when it comes to hot chocolate, there are so many versions to choose from! One of my favorites is this extremely decadent white version which looks so pretty and tastes like a sweet and creamy soup.

I love to make it extra exciting by topping it with a big dollop of extra cream (or sometimes Cool Whip!) and a sprinkling of english toffee pieces.

The bulk of the liquid is a thick white cream, but some chemical reaction always takes place which means that there’s a healthy level of foamy goodness on top. It’s my son’s favorite bit to drink!
