If Proverbs Were Written By Mothers

We’ve all heard those trite little expressions that everyone overuses. Like “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Or “One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel.”

These idioms have become part of our vernacular, and some people just love to trot them out in response to any sort of complaint. I personally hate those people. I want to take those crappy sayings and throw them back in their smug faces. I started to wonder how different these proverbs would be if they were written by exasperated moms. And then I realized, I am  an exasperated mom!

So here are 16 of my favorite re-imagined proverbs. Please feel free to share with any mamas you think could use a laugh.
