With three kids under my belt, I have a sixth sense when it comes to what products will work for us and which ones are duds. Before I had my first, I was under the impression that we had to buy ALL THE THINGS because I didn’t want to be caught short with some item I really needed. Of course, I learned real quick that most so-called necessities are really just luxuries that don’t come in all that handy.
But one product that I personally feel is a MUST HAVE is a good quality playpen. We’ve been through quite a few with our kids, I have to admit. They’ve all been okay. They’ve done what we needed them to – namely kept my boys safe when they were very young and needed to be protected. They are especially handy when they are just learning to sit and crawl, as that is the time when they can get into trouble. Mine have all been obsessed with power cords and cables. As a tech-obsessed family, we have a LOT of them around, and for some reason my kids have always found ways to grab, pull and put them in their mouths! NIGHTMARE!
Having a happy, comfortable, and above all SAFE place to put them is really important to a mom trying to get things done. I love being able to set Baby Chester into his Fisher-Price Play Yard and know that he’s comfortable and safe while I go about cleaning or cooking or even just relaxing for a few minutes!
What I love even more is that it is the first play yard I’ve had that is truly portable. The Ultra-Lite Day & Night Play Yard is half the weight of other popular play yards, but it has all the same great features. It is SUPER easy to assemble and break down. If you’ve had another brand, you’ll know how difficult they can be. But this one literally took my husband less than a minute to set up.
To make it even better, it even comes with an attachable inclined sleeper so that you can use it all night long! Plus, it has a really cool changing pad that you can keep in the outer pocket to easily change your baby.
Baby Chester really loved the sleeper on top, but as he’s an older baby, he’s just a little too big for it now.
You can Purchase at Walmart for $139.99, and I guarantee it is worth every penny. The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and Baby Chester is a great spokesperson.
With the ease of use of this awesome play yard, I did have to ask myself if it was really as easy as I thought it was to put together. Or maybe it’s just because I have dealt with other brands and found them much harder? So I figured the best way to find out was to get an outside opinion.
Coming soon, I have a really fun post for you. I invited my friend Candace over to take a “Mommy Test.” Candace is a beautiful, fun, CHILD-FREE friend who had no idea what she was in for. I put her through her paces making bottles, changing diapers and trying her hand at putting together this play yard to see how she did. Stay tuned!
