Plus Size Fashion Ideas for Fourth of July

I always have such a hard time finding seasonal clothing for my body shape. But I found a ton of options for the Fourth of July that will make any plus size ladies feel amazing!

If you are a plus size (aka FABULOUS) lady looking for July 4th outfit ideas, you’re in the right place. As a plus sized mom looking for cute fashion inspiration, I am constantly trying to look cute on a budget. It can be difficult shopping for these curves. And since we’re all different shapes and sizes, what looks good on one may not look great on another.

So to help you out, I’ve got a full range of patriotic fashion ideas for every plus sized lady’s lifestyle and budget. And the best part is that every one of them can be ordered off of Amazon!

Let’s get to the fashion, shall we!?

Patriotic T-Shirts and Tanks

Finding a great top as a plus sized woman can take some trial and error. Some t-shirts will fit nicely around the trunk, but the arm holes are way too tight. Some fit great across the bust but hang down and make our bellies look huge. I don’t like trying things on in dressing rooms, so I tend to order a few promising items online and then send back whatever doesn’t fit. These tops all look like they’d be great for us larger than life ladies!

Patriotic Shorts and Swimwear

I can NEVER find shorts that fit me right. Either they’re too tight across my stomach (hello surgical scars!) or they ride up too high and chafe my inner thighs. I often end up paying a fortune for a more “mature” pair of shorts. But once in a while, if I’m at the beach or pool, or I’m just wanting to relax in the back yard, I’ll go for form over function and grab whatever is cutest.

Patriotic Cover-ups and Accessories

Even if I can’t find something suitable to wear for an occasion, I find that having some fun accessories can really help pull things together. For the Fourth of July, I’ll usually just wear solid block colors of red, white and blue along with some fun flag-themed accessories. Below are some fun ones you can add to your wardrobe. They are great for Independence Day, but really they will work any time of year!

Patriotic Dresses

A good dress is a staple in any wardrobe. I love loose, flowy maxi dresses, and a-line skirts tend to suit me. But my all time favorite is a kaftan, which I think really suits any body type. Check out some great ones!

Whatever your personal style, I think it’s easy enough to find good plus size options to make you feel good. What’s your favorite?
