Rose Petal Sugar Scrub
There’s not much I love more than DIY beauty products. And when they are SO simple to make, there’s really no excuse not to give it a try. Since I suffer from severely dry sky that flakes off all over, I love anything that exfoliates AND moisturizes. That’s why I love this Rose Petal Sugar Scrub so much. It will leave your skin feeling SO nice after you use it, and it takes next to no time to make. I will usually whip a batch up any time my husband brings me roses (which ain’t that often these days!), and it’ll keep well in an air-tight container for about 30 days.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1/4 C baby oil
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 1 Rose (petals)
To make it, simply blitz up all of your ingredients in a food processor or blender! That’s it! Place it in a jar or even tupperware, and you’ve got yourself an easy body scrub that’ll leave your skin exfoliated, soft and moisturized. AND it smells AMAZING.
If you wanted, you can substitute coconut oil for the baby oil (I do this a lot!) and you can use different kinds of sugar to see what feels best. I don’t recommend using salt, as it can dry out the skin a little. Obviously you can use other kinds of flowers if you want a different smell. And if you really want to jazz it up, use a tiny bit of red food coloring to make it prettier. I love the way it looks with just the rose petals, though.
