When I was pregnant with my first son, my younger brother gave me some advice on impending parenthood. Like everyone else in my family, he’d had his kids at a young age, and I trusted that he’d never steer me wrong. His colorful advice can best be summed up thusly: “Stuff happens. Just keep a cool head and stock up on Boudreaux’s Butt Paste®.” True story – it was probably the best and simplest advice I’d ever gotten.
Thankfully, my first two kids were lucky. Neither of them ever suffered from any sort of diaper rash. In fact, they seemed impervious to it considering all of the diaper explosions we went through. It wasn’t until my third son was born that I really had to deal with the horror that is diaper rash. The first time it happened, I had no idea what I was looking at. I stupidly assumed that the redness in his diaper zone was just caused by chafing or too tight a fit. Boy was I wrong! Within hours, my poor baby boy was screaming in agony, and we ended up dealing with a pretty awful infection which required a doctor visit and six different prescription creams! It was awful. My doctor suggested I buy a good diaper cream to have on hand and to use it liberally. It was then that I remembered my brother’s prophetic advice – “Stuff happens. Keep a cool head and stock up on Boudreaux’s Butt Paste®.” So that is exactly what I did.
Unfortunately for all of us, that poor baby continued to suffer from occasional diaper rash. He’d go from zero to pain in the time it took between diaper changes. It was awful. But we learned to use our Butt Paste® after every new diaper to keep it from getting worse. He’s now three and still in diapers, and he now brings us a tube of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® every time he needs to be changed.
He’s joined, of course, by our newest baby boy, whom we are making sure to protect from diaper rash right from the beginning. He’s two months old now and has never had a rash yet. I have no doubt it’s because of our Boudreaux’s Butt Paste®.
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® was formulated in 1978 by George Boudreaux, a pharmacist and father who lived in Louisiana. He was asked by numerous parents for a safe and effective solution to help treat diaper rash. It started out as a local secret, but it soon became a nationwide hit! Butt Paste® has three very targeted formulas to help protect and treat diaper rash – Original, Maximum Strength and Natural. Though they have slightly different formulations, they all provide immediate and continued relief for your baby’s tender bottom. They are paraben, preservative and phthalate free, which is great news for moms who truly care about what they’re putting on or in their baby’s bodies.
They even have an amazing and free social loyalty program that anyone can join! Simply link your social media accounts and share content for a chance to receive prizes and coupons.
