This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of AllWhites Egg Whites. All opinions are 100% mine.
I haven’t really felt like updating lately because I’ve spent most of the last week recovering from some major and painful surgery. In fact, after the first surgery, I went home and immediately got a bad fever which made me delirious and unable to eat or drink without pain! It took three days for doctors to realize I had a post-op infection, and I ended up being readmitted to the hospital for treatment, which included emergency surgery to fix the issue. No fun!
I spent several days in the hospital, but even though I felt better since the infection had been kicked, I was still not up for eating much. As a result, I’ve been living on these Carob Nut Banana Protein Smoothies! The recipe can be found on the AllWhites Egg Whites website, but I decided to share it with you here because it’s been a HUGE help to me over the last few days, and it is something that is super healthy and great for those who want to keep fit. So I’ll be using it even once I’m healed (hopefully that’ll be soon!).
For those who don’t know, these are a lean source of protein that can be used in ANY recipe that calls for eggs. Without yolks, recipes become that much less fattening! AllWhites Egg White products are:

So yah… they’re great to have in your fridge so you don’t have to mess with breaking a lot of eggs! Perfect for moms like me!!
Anyway, if you want to try out this delicious Carob Nut Banana Protein Smoothie, here’s what you’ll need.
Now I will admit that I used almond milk rather than skim milk because I have an allergy. And I often prefer almond butter to peanut butter. But this is the basic recipe that you need, and you’ll LOVE what it can do for you!
Just blend everything up in a blender until it’s combined and then serve! SO simple, right?! It takes about 2 minutes to make, which is perfect since no one is here to take care of me, and I need easy to prepare sustenance that will keep me going!
I may have added a tiny little blackberry on top just to give me something to chew. Give me a break! It’s still healthy!
I love how rich and thick this is. It’s far less like drinking a smoothie and more along the lines of a milkshake! I may try it over ice next time, or maybe freeze a banana before adding it. The options are endless!
Once I’m back to eating properly again, I hope to make some of the other recipes you can find on the AllWhites Egg Whites Favorites page! So many delicious and nutritious recipes to sample!
What do you think? Will you be trying this recipe? Or do you have an amazing egg white omelette or other fare to try?! I’d love to hear your ideas!
