This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of TruMoo Chocolate Milk. All opinions are 100% mine.
If there’s one thing I can count on this time of year, it’s that my kids will suddenly become obsessed with the idea of hot chocolate. The little guys love the taste, obviously, but more than that I think they love the idea of settling in with a nice warm mug of something sweet and satisfying.
Cold weather is not really my thing. I am not a fan of snow, but my kids love it. What we all love even more, though, is sitting in a nice warm house, watching the snow fall and doing something together as a family. Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting in front of the TV and watching a fun holiday flick. Other times we head into the craft room and paint fun pictures together to hang around the house. This past weekend it was sitting in the parlor and making pretend cookies with clay.
Lately, instead of buying fancy hot chocolate mixes that require getting powder all over my granite countertops, we’ve been indulging in healthy mugs full of TruMoo, heated to perfection on the stove and topped with whipped cream and a few chocolate chips.
The kids have been big fans of TruMoo milk for a long time now. It comes in various delicious flavors (they were especially enamored of the Orange Scream Halloween flavor this year) but obviously chocolate is their favorite. We always have a couple of gallons on hand at all times because it’s just as delicious hot as it is cold, and is made with real milk and the right amount of chocolate.
There’s nothing I love half as much as hanging out with my three beautiful boys, just hanging out and being groovy. We’ve been using our clay to practice for the upcoming holiday season when we’ll be baking a ton of cookies to give as gifts. The kids love to use the cookie cutters to cut out shapes of their favorite things. Stars, snowmen, reindeer, gingerbread… it goes on and on.
Baby Chester is quite a ham, though. He loves to get into everything, and I learned the hard way not to leave the milk in his reach.
I’m looking forward to so many fun activities this winter. From sitting in front of the fireplace and singing carols to trimming the tree to holiday baking, we’ll be busting out our TruMoo all season long, I’m sure!
And at least it makes them forget about going out in the snow, which for me is something to be extra thankful for!
