White Chocolate and Peppermint Pie
When the holidays begin to roll around, I start getting a hankering for pie. And this white chocolate peppermint pie is truly in keeping with the holiday spirit!
The gentle peppermint flavor of the white chocolate mousse is enhanced with chopped up candy canes and some chocolate peppermint Hershey’s kisses. A prepared chocolate graham cracker crust makes it so easy to throw this together in minutes, and its cloudlike consistency will melt in your mouth and leave you feeling nostalgic for those old Christmas memories.
The ingredients for this pie are easily available and require very little effort to find. And since there is no baking involved, it works great as a last minute dessert for the holidays.
Gather together
- 1 premade chocolate graham cracker pie crust
- 2 candy canes
- 1 tub Cool Whip
- 1 box instant Jello white chocolate pudding
- 1 C milk
- 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
- 12 peppermint Hershey’s Kisses
To begin, mix together your milk and pudding mixture in a bowl, and add in your peppermint extract. I like to use a wooden spoon, but you can also use a whisk or electric mixer.
Once your pudding is mixed, add in your crushed candy canes and gently stir them into your mix. Reserve a few for the top.
Next, fold in your Cool Whip to your pudding mixture, ensuring it is properly combined. You’re looking for a smooth and uniform appearance with tiny lumps of peppermint candy.
Pour your mixture into the prepared pie crust and smooth down the top so it is spread all the way to the edges.
Sprinkle the reserved crushed candy canes on top of the pie.
Add your peppermint Hershey’s Kisses to the top of the pie, making a pleasing pattern to add visual interest. Then, when you are happy with how it looks, place the entire pie into the freezer for two hours.
Slice the pie into sections to serve. If you freeze for too long and it is difficult to cut, either wait a few minutes or use a knife run under some hot water to slice.
This beautiful and delicious white chocolate mousse and peppermint pie is absolutely delightful. If you want to change it up, try different flavors of pudding mix to get a slightly different effect. Some great options are milk chocolate, dark chocolate or even cheesecake flavored pudding.

Notes
The easiest way to break your candy cane pieces is to place the whole candy canes into a plastic ziploc bag and use a rolling pin or other heavy item to smash them.
For a heavier peppermint taste, you can add more peppermint extract, but I think a 1/4 tsp is just perfect.
